In recent years pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes have been increasingly specified across a wide range of commercial and residential construction materials.
Ease-of-use
Tapes offer peel-and-stick ease-of-use, allowing builders and contractors to get more done in less time, and with fewer employees. In addition, they’re repositionable and conformable to complex geometries, making them ideal for areas where the fitting of rigid materials is a challenge.
Durability, even in extreme environments
Solutions are available featuring Avery Dennison Cold ToughTM acrylic adhesive. Cold Tough is tested for installation temperatures down to 0F (-18 Celsius) with a service temperature of -40F (-40 Celsius). It offers superior performance for high humidity, wet conditions, and substrates that tend to accumulate condensation. Cold Tough is engineered for long-term durability even with regular exposure to sunlight.
Meeting of industry standards
Avery Dennison flashing materials meet standard 711-20 of the American Architectural Materials Association (AAMA). Certification by the AAMA is pending.

FT 0088
FT 0088 is a single-coated, waterproof flashing tape with excellent initial tack and all-weather adhesive adhesion. It’s conformable around openings and wall penetrations, is self-sealing, and prevents moisture intrusion when punctured by hand-driven fasteners. This tape also features an extremely aggressive adhesive that bonds well to damp surfaces. FT 0088 meets AAMA 711-13 requirements.
