Video: Brake Shim Adhesives: Engineered to Reduce Noise, Vibration and Harshness

As a recognized market leader with over twenty years of experience as an NVH solutions provider for brake applications, Avery Dennison has developed the next generation adhesive for brake shim applications for Electronic Parking Brake systems. Our brake shim damping solutions help reduce the squeak and chatter associated with vibrating components. Our new Electronic Parking Brake - EPB - adhesive offers resistance to adhesive bleed at high temperatures less than 200˚C/ 392˚F and at high pressure of less than 200 bars. Our EPB adhesive provides optimum damping at high temperatures 100˚C/ 212˚F, and offers very high temperature resistance, T-pull and shear strength. We offer SAFT performance suited for brake shim applications with short bonding times to brake pads.

Video: Foam and Fiber Bonding Emulsion Products - Butterfly Test

Avery Dennison Foam and Fiber bonding emulsion products are versatile pressure-sensitive tapes ideal for general purpose foam bonding applications in industries such as automotive, appliances, building and construction, transportation, and heavy equipment. These emulsion products offer ease of conversion, excellent price to performance ratio, high adhesion to low surface energy materials and excellent resistance to solvents, chemicals, plasticizers, moisture, temperature and UV light. This butterfly test demonstrates the strong lamination bond of the pressure-sensitive adhesives to foam. When the foam tears it shows that the strength of the adhesive bond is stronger than the internal strength of the foam.

Video: Avery Dennison Performance Tapes Analytical Lab

The Avery Dennison Performance Tapes Analytical Lab is where our scientists conduct material analysis and characterizations of tape constructions. This includes identifying the type of adhesive and the physical properties that allow a tape construction to perform at its highest-levels. We use multiple test methods to achieve this. These tests offer the lab a wide range of capabilities, and help our scientists’ and customers’ design solutions specific to the requirements of an application.

Video: ShieldSense RFID Blocking Material

For many retailers, an obstacle in maximizing the effectiveness of their RFID-enabled inventory systems is the ability to isolate waves within specific sales environments. If the waves cannot be blocked, and kept segregated, the technology’s precision and effectiveness will be limited. To solve this issue, Avery Dennison offers ShieldSense™ RFID Blocking Material – a lightweight, easy-to-apply, aluminum foil tape construction that when applied to surfaces like walls and doors, creates a barrier isolating RFID waves to particular in-store locations.
