Venting in challenging conditions

Vent design throughout a vehicle offers significant challenges to adhesive tape products. Many vehicle areas, like headlights, generate tremendous amounts of heat, which can quickly break down a standard adhesive. Components are also now commonly constructed of low surface energy (LSE) plastics, such as Teflon. This can present an adhesion challenge for many standard tapes.


High-temperature, high-bonding performance

Avery Dennison venting tape constructions are engineered to overcome these challenges. Our silicone pressure-sensitive adhesives bond well with Teflon and other LSE plastics, and can withstand temperatures of up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit.

These tapes have a double liner and thick carrier constructions to allow for fast, easy dispensing. And, they can be custom engineered to meet specific customer requirements.
