Foam and fibre insulation bonding

Modern vehicle interiors are a jigsaw of materials. From polyurethane, EPDM, polyethylene foams and nonwovens to plastics, steel, aluminum and glass, manufacturers are challenged to source adhesives that provide reliable performance for a wide range of surfaces.

The electrification of vehicles brings a need for more acoustic insulation including foam and nonwoven materials for sound absorption. Not only is the deletion of the internal combustion engine making the wind and tire noise more noticeable, but the electrified powertrain also brings with it new devices that emit noise that can impact on the perceived acoustical comfort of the occupants.

Avery Dennison offers a range of high performance bonding tape products suitable for a variety of interior foam and fiber (nonwoven) applications.

Thanks to state-of-the-art pressure-sensitive solutions, we’re able to support manufacturers in meeting demanding challenges. Be it the bonding of complex shapes and low surface energy substrates or aligning with current trends such as lightweighting, Avery Dennison has got your foam and fibre nonwoven insulation bonding needs covered.
